Each year the Canadian Country Music Association hosts a massive conference decked out with everything from live performances to industry panels, fan events to Hall of Fame inductions, all topped with the CCMA Awards. This year’s CCMA Awards will be hosted by the one and only Shania Twain on Sunday, September 9th at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. Tune in to the broadcast on CBC at 7:45PM to catch Canada’s best in country.
With tons of artists attending the events this year, The Orchard is excited to get involved. Friday, September 7th, we will be hosting an intimate new music preview Listening Session with exclusive performances for some of our radio and retail partners. On Saturday, September 8th, you can catch our packed line up of Steven Lee Olsen (SLO Circus Records), Terri Clark (Baretrack Records), Gord Bamford (Cache Entertainment), Tenille Townes (SME), Mitchell Tenpenny (Riser House Entertainment), Shawn Austin (SteelHead Music Inc.) and Tenille Arts (Reviver Records) at The Orchard & Sony Music Entertainment Canada Fan Jam. Located at the CCMA Fan Stage in the Fan Village on Main Street, performances will take place between 10:45PM and 11:45PM. The Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place Saturday evening at Hamilton Convention Centre, where Terri Clark will be honored for her contributions to Canadian country music. Terri will also be performing in the Canadian Country Music Awards ceremony, Sunday, September 9.
