The nominees for the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards are here! The iHeartRadio Music Awards celebrates and honors the most-played artists and songs from iHeartRadio stations over the past year. Radio spins aren’t the only factor in this ceremony, as fans can also cast winners by voting in categories such as: Best Lyrics, Best Cover Song, Best Fan Army, Best Music Video, Social Star, Best Remix, and Favorite Tour Photographer.
The ceremony will be held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 29th at 8PM EST. Social voting starts now, January 8th, and will close March 23rd at 8pm EST for all categories, except for Best Fan Army which will continue through March 27th at 9am EST. Fans can vote by visiting iHeartRadio.com/awards. Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s talk about some nominated artists distributed by The Orchard!
Daddy Yankee broke records across the board with his release of “Con Calma” featuring Snow (El Cartel Records). The global Latin hit is nominated for Best Music Video at this year’s awards, and since this category is “socially voted”, it’s up to the fans to decide the winner. The music video for “Con Calma” was the first music video in 2019 to hit the billion-views-club and was named one of YouTube’s most-viewed music video of 2019! The infectious Latin hit made waves across the world, from nightclubs in Portugal to exercise classes in New York, “Con Calma” was there and ready to get you to dance.
The Las Vegas hard rock band Five Finger Death Punch (Eleven Seven) is nominated for Rock Artist of the Year. The group has been a prominent hard rock group for over a decade, releasing their first album The Way of the Fist back in 2007. Their next album F8 is coming out February 28th, and you can listen to their singles “Full Circle” and “Inside Out” now! This isn’t the first time 5FDP has been honored with a nomination from iHeartRadio, in fact they were nominated last year for the same category. Our fingers are crossed for Five Finger Death Punch!
