2021 Premios Graffiti Winners Announced

2021 Premios Graffiti Winners Announced

This year’s Premios Graffiti results are in and The Orchard is very excited to congratulate our partners with 98 nominations and 19 wins! Since 2003, The Graffiti Awards have recognized achievement in all genres of Uruguayan music. The annual event honors music professionals in over 35 categories, three of which are chosen by popular vote, namely the Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Theme of the Year categories.

Singer-songwriter Florencia Nuñez (Bizarro Records) became the surprise of the night when she took home six awards for her work on Porque todas las quiero cantar: Un homenaje a la canción rochense – a multiplatform project that celebrates the history of Uruguay’s music. The project took home Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Production. This marked a historic moment as Florencia Nuñez is the first woman to win all three of these awards! Florencia Nuñez also won Best Female Artist.

Also, Bizarro Records pop project Franny Glass celebrated three wins forCanciones de amor para el fin del mundo”  with Best Alternative Pop Album, Best Male Artist and Best Composer

Montevideo Music Group went home with the awards for Best Pop Album (Martin Buscaglia), and the popular votes for Artist of the Year (Cacho Ramos) and Popular Song of the Year (Mariano Bermúdez), among others.

We celebrate alongside these artists and labels that we are very proud to work with, including Bizarro, MMG, Ayuí-Tacuabé, Los Años Luz, Sondor, Consentido and Queruza.
