Feeling data savvy? Our data team is prepared to share their advanced skill set in relation to your wallet with their session, Getting Return On Your Data Investment. As they say, you have to spend money to make money; so while the cost of processing data can seem outrageous, the return for your investment can be drastic. Take notes as The Orchard’s VP Business Intelligence & Analytics, Strategy, Theresa Locklear and VP North American Label Management Liz Snair join Robbie Mackey of Grand Jury Music to discuss real-life examples of how data can be successfully leveraged in the music industry.

Get creative with our Director of Digital Advertising, Aaron Ford along with Wesley A’Harrah (Music Ally) and Emily Frost (Universal Music Group) in their discussion: Buy Bye—Transitioning off of Media Buying Agencies. The panelists will identify the perks of bringing media buying in-house by forming internal agencies, using freelancers or upskilling marketers. Learn how your company, data and revenue streams and benefit by keeping your media-buyers close.

Sync licensing is not only an incredibly interesting division of the music industry, but it is also very profitable. Get paid and get your music in front of new listeners? Sign us up! Our Director of Licensing and Sync, Jim Leavitt enlisted Danny Exum (Director of Music, Workshop Creative), Lauriana Zuluaga (Executive Music Producer, Young & Rubicam) and Michael Hill (Independent, Music Supervisor) to join him on stage for a panel titled, ‘Music Licensing: How we Find ‘Em, How We Pick ‘Em.’ Learn about unexpected sync opportunities you may not have considered and how to customize your pitch depending on the platform. Understand what supervisors are looking for with this look behind the scenes.

Be sure to use PanelPicker to cast your vote on the sessions you’re most interested and make the conference schedule worthwhile. Acquire some knowledge to bring home as a souvenir along with your 10+ venue wristbands and list of favorite new acts.
