Earlier this year, The Orchard announced our partnership with MBA For Africa and our involvement with the 2022 MBA Talent Project. The project was a 6-month-long workshop that developed talent on both the music creation and business side. As the exclusive distribution partner, The Orchard provided expertise in artist development, marketing, and promotion for several rising African artists.
Eight talented artists were selected for the 2022 MBA Talent Project, and now, you can hear their work in the compilation album Fuel & Flames. The 15-track album explores empowerment through the lenses of the featured artists. Each song speaks to either the genesis (a spark), the growing pains of the present (the fuel) or the future full of endless possibilities (the flame).
With students hailing from Nigeria and Ghana, the artists featured on Fuel & Flames include: Zaki Amujei, Mightyyout, Jola Bello, Musta4a, Adam Srae, Ekemini Jane, Taffy Ghazali and Apartment VII. Top-tier producers also took part in the production of the album, including Zak amujei, Kevwe, NYRP, Dabz Flp, Arieenati, DJ Blaqbeat, Fadah, Ezekiel Adigun, and Leke Akinsanmi
“If you give willing and determined young people information and guidance and support, they will do amazing things,” said MBA For Africa founder, Godwin Tom. “This album is one of those amazing things!”
