The Orchard Presents: The Dead South

The Orchard Presents: The Dead South

What happens when you take a punk rock attitude and add a banjo?

The Dead South

We had the pleasure of hosting the Six Shooter Records, act The Dead South around the release of their latest album Sugar & Joy. The group of friends turned bandmates are based in Canada but bring a southern twang to their music with a unique style that allows them to stand out from the rest. Their music appeals to a variety of fans across rock, country, bluegrass and even punk. Nevertheless, it’s their live performance that truly captures an audience and turns innocent bystanders into avid fans. The combination of technical skill, matching ensembles and big energy is incomparable.

We had the opportunity to have them perform a stripped down version of their set while visiting our NYC headquarters, but highly recommend checking out The Dead South on tour.

Learn more about The Dead South in their interview with us, here, and watch their performance at The Orchard below.
