The nominations for the 2023 ADISQ Awards are here! We are proud to announce that The Orchard distributed labels and partners received 80 nominations!
The annual ADISQ Gala celebrates the best music and artists from the independent music sector in Quebec, Canada. The award show will take place at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts on Sunday, November 5, and will be broadcast live at 8 PM on ICI TÉLÉ, on Radio-Canada.ca/adisq, and on ICI TOU.TV.
Bonsound artist Lisa Leblanc was nominated for 8 awards total including Album of the Year – Popular Success, Artist of the Year – International Influence, Show of the Year for her Chiac Disco release, Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Lighting Design & Projections of the Year, Direction & Scenography of the Year, and Sound of the Year. Chiac Disco was Leblanc’s long-awaited third album, her first in French since her debut about 10 years ago.
LABE artist Salebarbes earned four nominations for Show of the Year – Varieties/Reinterpretations, Album of the Year – Popular Success, Group or Duo of the Year, Song of the Year, and Script of the Year. Their album, Gin à l’eau salée, brings audiences on a festive journey from Acadia to Louisiana with playful rhythms that combine Cajun, Blues, and Rock music.
