The Internet, at times, feels like an infinitely deep space of discoverability. With boundless music to be discovered, The Orchard and Human Re Sources are happy to partner with NOT 97.
With seven seasons of their flagship podcast under their belt, NOT 97 joins forces with The Orchard, who will take on distribution of the podcast itself, as well as their live session video series, branded merchandise production, zine publishing, events, and more.
“We’re really excited to work with The Orchard & Human Re Sources to not only expand the reach and capabilities of the content we produce,” says Matthew Schonfeld, Founder of NOT 97, “but to be able to offer our community and the artists who we highlight more eyes, ears, and resources moving forward.”
NOT 97 is a home for music discovery, surfacing under-the-radar artists to a global audience of listeners in over 40 countries. On each episode, industry insiders – ranging from A&Rs, publicists, editors, artists, and more – host a roundtable discussion to introduce fresh new music. Three hosts and a guest present two tracks each that were released in the last six to eight months from artists with under ten-thousand followers.
Previous notable podcast guests include Nick Hakim (Recording Artist), Kei Henderson (Artist Manager), Captain Kirk Douglas (Bass Player, The Roots), Alex Sowinski (Drummer, BadBadNotGood), Sidney Madden (Producer & Editor at NPR Music, Host of “Louder Than A Riot”), and many more.
Season 8 of the NOT 97 podcast premieres March 14, 2022 on all podcast platforms, with full video episodes also available on YouTube. Follow and subscribe so you don’t miss it and watch the Season 8 trailer below.
