Catch The Orchard at by:Larm This September

Join us at the annual by:Larm music festival and conference this year in Oslo, Norway between September 15th and 17th! The festival and conference has been running since 1998 in Norway and has been held in Oslo since 2008.

We are happy to welcome all by:Larm delegates back to the official Delegate Lounge powered by The Orchard at the outdoor area of BLÅ. On night one, we will host the legendary pre-party between 17.30 and 19.30 at the Delegate Lounge. Stop by for drinks and mingling and do not forget that a by:Larm delegate pass is required for entry!

After the pre-party, The Orchard kicks off the night inside at BLÅ presenting the following line up on the festival’s first night (September 15th):

19.30 Slomosa (NO)

20.30 Poison Anna (UK)

21.30 Dorothea Økland (NO)

22.30 Beharie (NO)

23.30 Loverboy (NO)

During the rest of the event, the Delegate Lounge will be the best place to network and hang after the conference, in between concerts, and throughout the night. As with previous years, The Orchard represents many talented artists at by:Larm.

Slomosa

Ever since the premiere of their debut single “Horses” on NRK radio’s Stjernepose, who also named it one of the best songs of 2019, the rock behemoth Slomosa has gained popularity both at home and abroad.

Their self-titled debut album, in partnership with Apollon Records was released in Fall 2020 and received an 8/10 rating from Metal Hammer (who named it “a spellbinding listen”) and a 6/6 rating in the Norwegian newspaper Bergens Tidende.

POiSON ANNA

She is an intoxicating, unique blend of dub, trip-hop and UK rap delivered with poise and personality. Sure, she’s worked with the likes of A$AP Rocky and Dean Blunt, but POiSON ANNA is a force of nature to behold in her own right – one of the most singular and uncompromising British voices to emerge as of late.

Dorothea Økland

Dorothea Økland plays moody and irresistible electronic pop with a DIY edge, filled to the brim with alluring textures and melodies. Økland’s musical landscape consists of synths, harps, flutes, field recordings and audiovisual components. She is also active in other projects, like Hey Love, Soft Punch, Klossmajor, and Nothing Personal, spanning a wide spectrum of genres like indie pop, free jazz, jazz pop, vocal improvisation and compositions for dance and theater.

Beharie

Inspired by Michael Kiwanuka, Leon Bridges, and Moses Sumney, and nestled somewhere between indie and soul is where you’ll find Norwegian newcomer, Beharie. His songwriting expresses a nerve which is both fragile and insisting at the same time. He has created an expansive musical universe based on experimental melodies.

Loverboy

Loverboy is the alias of Jon Ranes, who made his musical debut in 2017 with the Oslo rap group UNDERGRUNN, who quickly became a live favorite in Norway, playing festivals and stages like Øya and Blå. Ranes is also a promising actor, featured in Ut og stjæle hester, Til ungdommen and Pørni.

With Loverboy, Jon Ranes draws inspiration from Scandinavian songsmiths like Stein Torleif Bjella and Håkan Hellström. His goal is to create a “universe of organic music”, and his Kastel-produced debut single “Blod” which was created on a hot summer’s day in the studio with no AC. It is the first taste of what’s to come!
