AIR (aka the Australian Independent Record Labels Association), is gearing up for their annual Indie-Con Australia, along with the AIR Awards. This year’s conference will take place July 25th and 26th at Lot Fourteen in Adelaide. The AIR Award nominees have been announced and will be honored Thursday, July 25th at Freemasons Hall. The Orchard is proud to be a supporting partner of the awards for the third year running.
With a number of notable wins this year in Australia, The Orchard is happy to see many of our Australian labels and artists on the list of potential honorees.
Coming off of their Best Band win last year at The Age Music Victoria Awards, Camp Cope have been cited under the Best Independent Hard Rock, Heavy Rock or Punk Album category. It’s evident that the band’s 2018 release How to Socialise & Make Friends has impressed the masses. The Poison City Records female-powered group just recently announced their first North American headlining tour which will kick-off this Spring. Camp Cope is joined in the category by Cooking Vinyl Australia’s High Tension and Unified’s West Thebarton.
Congratulations to all the AIR Award nominees for 2019 with a special shout out to our labels and partners as shown below:
