MBA for Africa, a pioneering music industry education programme founded by Godwin Tom, is thrilled to release their second album Pepple Street in partnership with The Orchard, out today.
MBA for Africa equips participants with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in the global music landscape. Recognizing the flourishing creativity within the African music scene, they cultivate a pool of talented executives eager to propel artists to the next level.
Pepple Street transcends borders and unites diverse musical talents from across the African continent. Inspired by the iconic life of Fela Kuti, who once called Pepple Street home, the album’s 17 tracks weave a tapestry of stories, blending sounds and voices from different corners of the continent. Pepple Street is not just an album, it’s a musical celebration of the spirit of Africa and a testament to the power of collaboration. The first single “Different Feeling” can be streamed here.
The MBA for Africa Talent Project, is the Programme’s practical arm, where selected artists and the simulated record labels in the program collaborate to create, record, execute and build the entirety of the album cycle via practical timelines, marketing campaigns, visuals, promotion, and more.
The Orchard has been a partner since 2022, providing invaluable support throughout the life of the project. From inception through release, The Orchard has offered guidance from industry executives, marketing strategy and support, and distribution of Pepple Street via its best-in-class global network.
