2020 Billboard Latin Music Awards Announce Winners

The 2020 Billboard Latin Music Awards aired live from Miami this past Wednesday, honoring the top artists, songs, albums, songwriters, and producers of 2019 across the Latin Billboard Charts. The Orchard is proud to work alongside numerous winners from this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards!

Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga, also known as Banda MS, took home both Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Duo or Group and Regional Mexican Artist of the Year, Duo or Group at this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards. While Banda MS is household name in the Regional Mexican musical genre, this past May the group tapped West Coast Hip-Hop legend Snoop Dogg for their single “Qué Maldición.” The crossover track earned the unlikely pairing the number 4 spot on the Billboard Latin Music Songs charts.

Mexican group Los Ángeles Azules claimed this year’s category of Regional Mexican Song of the Year for their song “Nunca Es Suficiente” (OCESA Seitrack). The Regional Mexican act first formed in the 1980s and quickly became a chart-topping act. This year at the inaugural Spotify Music Awards held in Mexico, Los Ángeles Azules were awarded the Most Listened Corridos Artist on Spotify. The group continues to be a leading figure in the Cumbia genre, blending multiple styles including pop, folklore, and electronic sounds while incorporating accordions and synthesizers.
