“The religious album even heathens can love.” [The A.V. Club] For unto you was born this day in the city of Duluth, Minnesota a Christmas album by the wonderful indie rock trio Low. And it was good — five originals and three covers delivered in a slow meditative style, with fine vocal harmonies from its founders Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker. Let us rejoice upon not only this joyous album, but also the 25th anniversary of kranky, the groundbreaking Chicago record label that brought it forth. We solemnly lifteth our hand and slappeth kranky’s hand in a righteous high-five.
The Orchard has distributed kranky digitally since 2013.
