2022 Swedish Grammis Nominations Announced

2022 Swedish Grammis Nominations Announced

The Swedish Grammis have unveiled their 2022 nominations. The awards celebrate the best the Swedish music community has to offer. The Orchard’s 2022 nominees include acts across all genres, from Soul/R&B to Rock to Children’s music. We’re honored to congratulate our distributed partners on 11 total nominations!

Album of the Year-nominee Sarah Klang returns to the Grammis with VIRGO, a release that showcases her classic vintage sound with a fresh twist. Reminiscent of 60s and 70s pop, she sprinkles in piano melodies and R&B influences. Her nod to the legacy of Swedish songwriters is not to be missed throughout the album. She is no stranger to success, having gone No.1 on Swedish charts for her past two albums. With VIRGO, Klang effortlessly stepped back into both her title as the “saddest girl in Sweden” and her longtime legacy of greatness.

Linn Koch-Emmery has rightfully earned her place at Sweden’s most prestigious award show: her debut album Being the girl artfully showcases Rock influences alongside melodic indie toplines. Her direct songwriting is impossible to miss, evoking strong emotions in any listener who discovers her. She has gathered a passionate fanbase both at home at abroad. On her relationship to her music, Linn shares, “I’m more myself when I’m doing music than I am walking the streets.”

The ceremony will take place May 19, 2022, in Stockholm. Congratulations to all of The Orchard’s distributed labels and artists who received a nomination at the 2022 Grammis! Find the full list of The Orchard distributed releases below.
