The Japanese duo started making huge waves at the end of 2019 with their debut single “Yoru ni Kakeru.” Since their debut and despite the hardships of 2020, YOASOBI have skyrocketed landing at #1 across a variety of streaming charts including the 2020 Annual Billboard Hot 100. The pair broke records as the first Japanese artist to earn the top title without ever releasing a physical album.
After their first single accrued over 300 million streams, YOASOBI followed this initial success with even more music releasing “Halzion,” “Tabun,” “Gunjo,” and “Haruka” throughout 2020. Just last month, YOASOBI unveiled their first album THE BOOK alongside a new single “Kaibutsu” which would be used as the theme song for an anime TV series BEASTARS.
