Premios Juventud is unlike any other award show. Reaching beyond music, the awards highlight leaders in the Latin community across all forms of entertainment — social media, pop culture, fashion, TV, video, and more. This year’s awards will be held live at 8PM ET August 13 on Univision and hosted by Ana Patricia Gámez, Francisca Lachapel, and Borja Voces.
With safety as a top priority, the event is reportedly anticipated to ”include a virtual audience, an innovative integration of the latest state-of-the-art, augmented, and virtual reality technologies for award presentations, intros, and musical performances.” While we eagerly await the upcoming show, don’t forget to cast your votes for your favorite entertainers by July 21.
This year, Anuel AA is included on the nominee list seven times — twice for his hit track “China” in addition to his noteworthy collaborations with Shakira, Nicky Jam and even for his overall amiable presence on social media. Between his music, enviable relationship with Karol G, and adorable pup Goku, Anuel has earned spots on the list including categories like Together They Fire Up My Feed/Juntos Encienden Mis Redes and #PetGoals/#MascotaGoals.
A favorite collaborator, known for breaking records across the internet, Natti Natasha is no stranger to the awards circuit. Her nominations fit just that — Está En Todas…/And Featuring… and Rompiendo Internet/Breaking the Internet. Natti has performed alongside the biggest names in Latin proving she can not only hold her own, but quickly rise to the top as showcased with her first and #3 Top Latin 2019 debut album Illuminatti.
Just a few months ago, the global music scene witnessed a groundbreaking collaboration between Regional Mexican and U.S. Hip-hop in the form of “Qué maldición.” The song by Lizos Music artists Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga aka Banda MS featured the notorious Snoop Dogg. The track debuted at #4 on the Billboard Latin Hot Songs chart and is nominated for a PJ Award for The Perfect Mix/La Mezcla Perfecta and OMG Collaboration/Colaboración OMG.
A number of rising stars have made the list as well, representing a ‘new generation.’ Get Low Record’s Myke Towers as well as Duars Entertainment’s Rauw Alejandro are both in the running for The New Generation – Male / La Nueva Generación – Masculina. Meanwhile, Grupo Firme and Natanael Capo are both up for The New Regional Mexican Generation/La Nueva Generación Regional Mexicano.
