When the Billboard Latin Music Awards nominations came out back in February, Ozuna led the pack with 23 nominations in 15 categories — the most in BLMA history! And last night he broke another record taking home 11 awards, including Artist of the Year and Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year.
Last night at the show, Ozuna performed a star-studded “Baila Baila Baila” remix, joining forces with Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, and J Balvin. Among other artist wins, IllumiNATTI singer Natti Natasha won Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year (Female). In a dynamic panel conversation called “Women in the Lead” during the Billboard Latin Music Conference, Natti said “the key to becoming successful in this industry: to dare and to not be afraid.”
Anuel AA won New Artist of the Year and not a surprise as he has been evolving the face of Latin trap. Missed his panel moderated by Billboard’s Leila Cobo? You can check it out here. And ICYMI: Anuel AA and The Orchard recently signed a global distribution deal for his next album.
A huge congratulations to all our nominated artists, labels, and partners and those who graced the stage last night with wins!
