The Orchard launched our Fresh Crop Mentorship Program in 2021 to empower Black and underrepresented communities with opportunities to connect and engage with current members of the music community. BackSpinz, an organization based in Atlanta, was a part of the original launch. We’re excited to announce the continuation of our partnership with Back Spinz for a 4-week virtual mentorship program for high school and college students in Atlanta!
Five employees from The Orchard will be sharing their expertise on the following topics: A&R, Branding & Marketing, Advertising & Ad Sales, and Career Advancement & Talent Acquisition. A big thank you to our team who agreed to volunteer their time!
BackSpinz aims to change the lives of youth by introducing them to creative music-centered outlets. The program falls within the Rap Snacks Foundation’s Boss Up Initiative which is one of our Social Justice Fund partners. It was founded on the belief that our youth are the driving force behind culture and innovation, and are the most “powerful diverse vehicles for social good.”
