Cooking Vinyl artist Fanny Lumsden scored a win for Best Independent Country Album or EP for Hey Dawn. An album about storytelling and bringing more light into the world – “What are we other than the stories we tell ourselves however those stories change over time. You can rewrite that narrative and be like hey, new day, Hey Dawn,” says Lumsden.
Domestic La La artist Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers have won Best Independent Rock Album or EP for their debut album I Love You. The punk-rock band displays a sense of fun and confidence more than ever before seen in this project.
