The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) announced their 2020 nominees for the 38th Annual Canadian Country Music Awards. The award show will be filmed throughout August in both Ontario and Nashville to air September 27 on Global TV.
An exciting year for Tenille Arts, the Weyburn-raised Nashville-based artist has earned a nomination for the coveted Album of The Year category for her January release Love, Heartbreak, & Everything In Between. Her talent certainly has the industry buzzing, so it’s no surprise she also earned the Rising Star nomination. In the past year, Arts has been conquering the country music and entertainment industry, securing three appearances on the ABC television show The Bachelor where her performance provided a romantic setting fitting of the series. If her killer voice isn’t enough, Arts has also picked up TikTok during quarantine showcasing her musicality and humor.
Tebey, a regular on the Candian Country Music circuit, is in the running for the Fans’ Choice Award and Male Artist of the Year. Raphael Mazzucco, director of the music video for “The Good Ones” by Tebey and Marie-Mai, is in the running for Video Director of The Year. Raised in Burlington, Ontario, Tebey has been a regular on the Candian Country Airplay charts since the early 2000’s. As a songwriter, Tebey has written three #1 country records and counting, including Justin Moore’s “Someone Else Will.” Tebey is favored by many, often combining country lyrics and twang, catchy hooks, and uplifting pop elements.
