Get your weekend started with new music from LA-based Suave Punk, London-based violinist, composer, and performer Anna Phoebe, and Russian producer and artist White Punk.
Suave Punk – Heaven is a Night Drive (EP) (Suave Records/Pack Records)
Suave Punk is the post-punk/shoegaze project from Justin Kim, a 20-year-old Korean American film student based in Los Angeles, California. A Florida transplant born in the Midwest, at ten years old he moved from Orlando to Southern California, a journey through different landscapes that have been integral to the first two decades of his life. Suave Punk’s debut EP Heaven is a Night Drive (Pack Records) was inspired by the allure that came from the simplicity of movement during a year that was largely stagnant. While the world felt motionless, taking a drive was an escape. Listen to Heaven is a Night Drive out now on all streaming platforms.
Anna Phoebe – Sea Souls (Eat The Peach)
London-based violinist, composer, and performer Anna Phoebe crosses genres and boundaries, having performed within both the classical setting and collaborating with artists from P Diddy, to Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Jethro Tull. In her new solo album Sea Souls, Anna Phoebe takes us on a journey through the soul. She says, “each piece [is] inspired by how the sea and the weather reflected my emotions. 2020 was such a turbulent year and each track on this album represents a different snapshot of that time.”
White Punk – Сириус (White Punk)
White Punk, whose real name is Daniil Bumagin, is a Russian producer, composer, and performer known for his versatility spanning from goth-indie-rock to cloud-rap. A multifaceted artist, White Punk is always pushing musical boundaries and his latest album Сириус is evident of just that. Сириус is comprised of 17 songs featuring artists like Dequine, Синекдоха Монток, MAYOT, and more.
