Ozuna – ENOC (Aura Music Corp.)
Puerto Rican Reggaeton superstar Ozuna is back again with another star-studded and hit-filled album, ENOC. The album title is an acronym for “El Negrito Ojos Claros” (The Black Kid, Light Eyes), which has been Ozuna’s nickname for most of his life. ENOC features 20 songs, with collaborations from Wisin, Myke Towers, Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Chencho Corleone, KAROL G, and a first-ever Spanish language collaboration from Sia and Doja Cat in “Del Mar.” On the album, Ozuna tells Billboard, “This album is me. Not only the music, the creator, but me. I released Odisea in 2016 and that’s been the best album in my career. Everybody said, ‘dude, you need to go back.’ That’s why this album is El Negrito Ojos Claros. That’s the title, but it’s the mix and the start of the new Ozuna.” Get to know El Negrito Ojos Claros in his new album, out now.
CIFIKA – HANA (MOTHER)
Rising South Korean Electronic-pop singer-songwriter Cifika has released her debut full-length album, HANA. Originally from South Korea, Cifika’s stage name is derived from Pacifica near San Jose, where she learned basic music theory. Cifiki first picked up music while living in California and tells Billboard, when she moved back to Korea after finishing school “I moved to Korea without knowing anyone in the music industry or even a single producer,” she recalled, “I just went there and I just got connected with really cool producers and singers, vocalists, writers, and I dunno it happened really instantly.” HANA features ten songs surrounding the essential elements of nature — earth, water, fire, and air — combined with the modern mechanical elements. Blxst – No Love Lost (Red Bull Records)
Los-Angeles based artist Blxst has been an active producer for years, working with artists like Kendrick Lamar, YG, DJ Mustard, Eric Bellinger and more. Originally from South Central, Blxst first started rapping at a young age when his uncle and older sister formed a local rap group. “My uncle told me to look up a new word in the dictionary every day, so I fell in love with words,” he recalls. In 2015 Blxst began his solo music career, and has been unstoppable ever since. In his newest EP, and his debut with indie record label Red Bull Records, No Love Lost showcases Blxst’s songwriter side. “I wanted to speak to multiple relationships in my life, whether it be friends, family, or my partner,” he says. “Even though I dedicate my time to the grind, my love is still there; my love is still at home. I’m the same person as I grow. People may look at me differently, because I don’t devote the same amount of time to them. However, all of the love I have for each relationship remains.” Listen to No Love Lost out now on all streaming platforms.
