Get ready for more music discovery, because Not 97 Season 9 is here. Last year, The Orchard and Human Re Sources announced our partnership with “The Only Music Discover Podcast.” Not 97 is a home for music discovery, surfacing emerging artists from all over the world. Listeners are introduced to Hip-Hop, R&B, Dance, and Pop songs before anyone else.
Season nine, which came out of the gate at #2 on the Apple Podcasts Music Chart, will feature a range of artists joining the show for intimate interviews and in-studio live sessions — including:
- Jordan Ward – Recently released his debut album Forward and opened a sold-out tour with Smino & JID.
- Fana Hues – Featured on Tyler, The Creator’s album Call Me If You Get Lost, currently on her first headlining UK, Europe, & US tour, and dropped the critically acclaimed album flora + fana in 2022.
- Alex Vaughn – Recently released her acclaimed album The Hurtbook + “The Hurtbook (Homegirl Pack)” featuring remixes with Ari Lennox, Summer Walker, and Muni Long. Signed LVRN, and currently opening a sold-out tour with Ari Lennox.
This season, Not 97 is introducing new playlists with unique themes like introverted dance music — music to move to for your party of one — and Shea Butter Approved — smooth offerings for mellow mornings & dimly lit nights.
