So next time you have a song that needs its final polish, log in to your Workstation, install the SoundBetter app on the artist of your choice and follow these simple steps:
Click on “Get Free Proposals” and describe your project needs. Be sure to mention who or what you’re looking for, genre of the track and any other information that could help your potential collaborators understand your vision. You can also upload a rough mix, but this is not necessary to post the job.
From there, you can either sit and wait to receive proposals to review and reject at your leisure, or you can browse through the various providers listed on SoundBetter and invite them directly to your posted job. Do this by clicking on Browse Freelancers at the top of the page, reviewing the providers that catch your eye and clicking on the blue Contact button on the specific partner’s page. You’ll see two options in a pop-up box; either get a proposal for your existing job or an entirely new one.
Proposals will come with the following fields: what they will deliver based on your job request, a personalized message and a quote. You can select to View Details or simply say No Thanks. The Details page allows you to interact with the provider and ask questions, or simply accept the proposal.
Once you confirm the terms, you’ll be asked to fund the job. You can do this by credit card or via Paypal, and the funds will be held until the job is completed to your satisfaction, when they will be released to your new partner.
You can always communicate with the provider within the SoundBetter app to exchange files, comments and updates on the job.
