The undoubtedly contagious Latin song of the summer has hit a major milestone, Wednesday, June 12. YouTube confirms “Con Calma” (feat. Snow) by Daddy Yankee has surpassed one billion views on the platform, entering what YouTube calls the “Billion Views Club.”
“Con Calma” (feat. Snow) is the first video released in 2019 to enter the club. It now sits next to mega-sensations such as “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran and the reigning viewed-video “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi featuring none other than Daddy Yankee himself. This is Daddy Yankee’s fifth video to enter the club alongside “Dura,” his mega hit from 2018.
Assisting Daddy Yankee in his YouTube success has been an honor for The Orchard. Alongside El Cartel Records, The Orchard’s video team helped support the rise to one billion views in less than five months, outpacing the previous success of “Dura,” and place “Con Calma” on the Top Music Video YouTube Global charts for eight weeks as number one, six weeks of which were consecutive.
