The Orchard, in collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment Japan has a growing office in Tokyo and has been actively working with local labels and artists since 2019. The team supports massive Japanese releases weekly from artists like YOASOBI, vöv, THE BOYS&GIRLS & many more.
In 2023, 88rising came on board to utilize The Orchard’s global reach, premium services, and resources. The partnership was forged out of a shared goal of elevating Asian music on a global scale.
On Sunday, April 14th at Coachella, 88rising hosted the 88rising FUTURES stage. Performances featured a variety of styles and genres including groundbreaking Japanese artists YOASOBI, ATARASHII GAKKO!, Awich, and Number_i. This is the second year 88rising hosted a showcase at the festival following the incredible viral social success of 2022.
The showcase became an illustrious spectacle of collaboration with YOASOBI jumping on stage with ATARASHII GAKKO! As well as appearances by Chinese superstar Jackson Wang who took the stage with Number_i before premiering a new song “Feeling Lucky” alongside BIBI.
The Orchard has a proven track record of elevating global music trends across Latin, Musica Mexicana, and K-Pop. In partnership with 88rising and Sony Music, The Orchard continues to play a pivotal role in bringing Asian music and culture to a global audience.
