Whether it be the score, soundtrack, or even part of the plot, music plays a large role in film and television. The 2023 Emmy nominations have been announced with The Orchard’s distributed soundtracks receiving four nominations! The awards will take place on Monday, September 18th, airing live from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
The Netflix show Wednesday received 2 nominations for Wednesday (The Original Series Soundtrack) (Lakeshore Records) composed by Danny Elfman & Chris Bacon. The pair collaborated to create an iconic dark and expressive orchestral score for the hit show. The new EP comes out July 21st!
AppleTV+ show Prehistoric Planet boosted over 80 million streams of their soundtrack. Composer Anže Rozman utilized custom made instruments to produce the sound of over 66 million years ago and captivated the audience in doing so.
Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, Cabinet of Curiosities (Soundtrack from the Netflix series) (Lakeshore Records), featured numerous collaborators to illustrate the sinister and mystical stories.
