Argentinian producer Bizarrap (DALE Play Records) has the number one song in the world. On Monday, Bizarrap officially topped the Billboard Top 200 Global Songs chart with his latest track featuring Spanish rapper Quevedo, “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52.” While Bizarrap has released 50 collaborative sessions, it’s his first time topping charts worldwide. And the first for any Argentinian artist in the chart’s two-year history.
Bizarrap also became the first Argentinian to top Spotify’s Global Songs Chart and to appear on the cover of Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits playlist. In Spain, Bizarrap and Quevedo earned over 21.4 million streams in just one week – that’s more than twice the amount of streams of the previously best-performing track.
The rise to the top didn’t come overnight for Bizarrap. The beloved “Bzrp Music Sessions” began back in 2018. “All I wanted to do was record a local rapper who goes by Kodigo and upload that to YouTube because I was a big fan of his,” Bizarrap told Billboard. “My plan was to record with my phone, but for some reason, it didn’t work. So we scheduled the session for the following day and I thought, ‘Why not give these freestylers the production they deserve with microphones and everything?’ So that’s what I did.”
Through his sessions, Bizarrap has become one of the most sought-after producers. Over the past few years, Bizarrap has racked up millions of streams, YouTube views, and earned nominations from the Latin GRAMMYs, Premios Gardel, Premios Juventud, and more.

El camino a la cima no sucedió de la noche a la mañana para Bizarrap. Las amadas “Bzrp Music Sessions” comenzaron en el 2018. “Todo lo que quería hacer era grabar a un rapero argentino, Kodigo, y subir eso a YouTube porque yo era un gran fan” le dijo Bizarrap a Billboard. “Mi plan era grabarlo con mi celular, pero por algún motivo no funcionó. Así que agendamos la sesión para el día siguiente y pensé ‘¿Por qué no darle a estos freestylers la producción que se merecen con micrófonos y todo?’ Así que eso es lo que hice.”
A partir de sus sesiones, Bizarrap se convirtió en uno de los productores más codiciados. En los últimos años, Bizarrap acumuló millones de streams, vistas en YouTube y nominaciones a los Latin GRAMMYs, Premios Gardel, Premios Juventud, y más.
