The Billboard Music Awards returned to its regularly scheduled May slot this year after a delayed October show in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The show was hosted live from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater by Nick Jonas and featured stunning performances from some familiar faces in The Orchard family.
Rimas Entertainment artist Bad Bunny took to the stage to perform “Te Deseo Lo Mejor” from his record breaking 2020 album El Último Tour Del Mundo, which made history as the first all-Spanish-language album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Puerto Rican phenomenon took home four awards last night- and won every category he was nominated for – including Top Latin Artist, Top Latin Male Artist, Top Latin Album, and Top Latin Song.
21st century Pop icons BTS had us all melting with their first performance of their brand new hit single “Butter.” BTS swept the awards, winning every category they were nominated for, including Top Selling Song, Top Duo or Group, Top Song Sales Artist, and Top Social Artist. Earlier in the day, news broke that BTS’ “Butter” broke the record for the most Spotify streams in a single day with more than 20.9 million streams!
