Today the anticipated 63rd annual GRAMMY® Awards announced the nominees for 83 categories during an hour-long livestream program. The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards are set to broadcast on CBS on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 8pm Eastern Time, hosted by the Daily Show’s Trevor Noah, an Emmy-winner and GRAMMY-nominee.
Body Count, fronted by iconic Hip-Hop artist and actor Ice-T, has been nominated for Best Metal Performance with their song “Bum-Rush” released via Century Media. “Bum-Rush” was released off the band’s seventh studio album Carnivore, which marked Body Count’s 30th anniversary as a band.
Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical nomination went to Producer Dave Cobb for his work on Lori McKenna’s The Balladeer (Thirty Tigers); John Prine “I Remember Everything” (Oh Boy Records/Thirty Tigers); and Jason Isbell And The 400 Unit’s Reunion. The late John Prine was also nominated for Best American Roots Performance and Best American Roots Song for “I Remember Everything (Oh Boy Records/Thirty Tigers).
And because we all need a laugh, Jim Gaffigan‘s “The Pale Tourist” (Comedy Dynamics) was nominated for Best Comedy Album.
