The 2020 ARIA Awards nominees have been revealed showcasing Australia’s top artists and releases of the year. The Orchard is proud to work alongside ten of the nominated artists and distributed titles.
The punk rock band known as The Chats, made up of guitarist Josh Price, drummer Matt Boggis and bassist/vocalist Eamon Sandwith, are nominated for two awards this year. The group released their latest album High Risk Behaviour back in March and are well known for bringing lots of energy to every project. Their energy has paid off, resulting in a nomination for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album. The video for the humorous and slightly disturbing track “The Clap” is also in the running for Best Video no doubt for its viral and shock value.
Another group in the running for multiple awards is electronic trio PNAU. Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes, joined in 2016 by Sam Littlemore lend their production talents to create catchy beats often combined with vocals to create massive crossover hits. The captivating technicolor video for their recent single “Lucky” featuring Vlossom has earned their spot on the list for Best Video. The group is also in the running for Best Australian Live Act for their All of Us Australian Tour. Their colorful light shows, flawless performance, passion and audience connection create an immersive experience like no other.
