by:Larm is an annual music festival and conference located in various venues across Oslo, Norway that has been around since 1998. It is the biggest event of the year for the Nordic music industry, gathering people from all corners of the industry. This year’s festival was held from February 27-29 and The Orchard family from the US, UK, and Nordic teams were present.
The conference included a series of seminars, panels, and lectures held during the day. The Orchard’s Director of Analytics, Samantha Moore; Director of Marketing & Sales, Nikoo Sadr; and Director of Norway, Sveinung Rindal represented The Orchard at lectures and panels at this year’s conference. The evening showcases consisted of more than 100 shows spread across the week. We’re happy to say that The Orchard was represented across the festival with more than 25 different acts.
This year, The Orchard joined as an official partner of the festival and hosted a delegate bar for networking and meetings in between seminars and shows. At the delegate bar, people enjoyed food and drinks and got to know the The Orchard Nordics team.
The Orchard kicked off the first day of the festival with a pre-party at Andre til Høyre. With plenty of delicious pizza and drinks to go around, we’d say everyone at the party, including our own staff, delegates and partners, had a great time. The party didn’t stop after the pre-party, though. Following The Orchard’s pre-party, everyone went out to neighbouring venues to catch some shows by The Orchard distributed artists, The New Death Cult (NO), Morabeza Tobacco (SE) and LÖV (NO).
On Friday, we hosted an official afterparty at Youngs Nede with live performances from Jim Ouma w/Zikai, Jamkid and Mapei (SE), Pasha x Coucheron (NO), and, last but not least, Emil Stabil (DK). The place was packed with people coming together to enjoy some high quality music. Some of the biggest names from the Nordic urban and hip hop scene were also present at the show.
On the last day of the festival, the team went to support several distributed acts from The Orchard. The team caught some great shows from artists like Rebecca Lou (DK),Oberst (NO), and Juno (NO).
