“Nunca olviden lo que dice la canción, mientras estemos vivos, debemos de amar lo más que podamos”, Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny (Rimas Entertainment) shared with his audience at the Una Más show on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Bad Bunny has made history with his recently completed residency on his home island of Puerto Rico. His months-long stay has had a robust impact on the economy in Puerto Rico, with estimates predicting a boost in the hundreds of millions of dollars. The sheer volume of tourists that visited the island to see Bad Bunny and hear his Debí Tirar Más Fotos album (around 600,000) spent time engaging in Puerto Rican culture outside of attending the concert. Many fans travelling to Puerto Rico for the show took the opportunity to extend their time into a vacation as well, and the money spent on hotels, food, shopping, and activities means a greater economy for Puerto Rico.
Big name stars were spotted at Bad Bunny’s “Casita”, a central piece of the show based on a real life home. The parties there drew in megastars like Ricky Martin, Becky G, Lebron James, Austin Butler, and many more. This, in addition to the entirely Puerto Rican guest artist lineup, including The Marías, Rauw Alejandro, Ivy Queen, and more had a big hand in creating a special experience for the audience and further boosted the economic support to the island that comes with them.

As for the show itself, there was great emphasis put on representing the life of local Puerto Ricans, and while it might have been tourists that supplied an economic boom, Bad Bunny made this show for locals. Tickets for the first show of the residency were only available to purchase in person at 17 locations across the island, which allowed many more locals to attend the show than otherwise would have allowed.
Bad Bunny’s influence as an artist cannot be overstated. Only a handful of musicians are able to say they’ve lifted an entire economy by any significant margin, and with Bad Bunny making it clear that he’s using that influence to support Puerto Ricans, his people, he will no doubt continue to leave a lasting legacy in the music industry.
Going into the fall, he’s already earned a heavy award presence given his latest nominations for Billboard Latin and Latin Grammy awards. Catch him on the ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’ world tour here and stay tuned for his Super Bowl LX halftime show in February 2026!
