Out Today by The Orchard: Dirty Heads, Olivia Lane & More

Welcome back to yet another week’s peek at the latest releases from The Orchard. These releases are packed with musical greatness from the western hemisphere, spreading beyond. Take a listen and enjoy:

Dirty Heads – Super Moon – Five Seven Music

What would summer be without the coast-inspired tunes of Dirty Heads. Luckily, Super Moon from Five Seven Music is out today for us all to enjoy as we slip into the last days of summer. The previously released “Super Moon” and “Lift Me Up” tracks have hinted fans into the vibe of Super Moon itself, a distinctive seventh-studio album. What makes this project so unique for a band of SoCal spirit, is the city it culminated in. Alongside four-time Grammy winning producer Dave Cobb, Dirty Heads took to Nashville to write, sing and create, taking in the sounds of the 70’s and country flair. “That’s where the best music happens, where Dirty Heads love to be.” said co-vocalist Jared “Dirty J” Watson.

“Lift Me Up”

Olivia Lane – The One – Big Spark Music

Another Nashville buzz-name making soundwaves with her newly-released EP, The One, is Houston-born Olivia Lane. Following her self-titled EP from 2017, Lane hit the road with major acts including Easton Corbin and Kip Moore, where she gained widespread recognition in the country world. Now, the release of The One is Lane’s next chapter in country stardom. The EP is an ode to a love worth recognizing. On songs like “So Good It Hurts” or “The One,” Lane gushes about the kind of looks and moments that make her happy to be “glorifying a great man and some good love.” For feel-good country love songs written by the singer-songwriter rising in Nashville, check out The One and keep up with Olivia Lane.

“So Good It Hurts”

Josimar y su Yambú – Pienso en Ti – (JJ Records)

Josimar y su Yambú is taking all the sounds of Salsa Perucha, brass and string and releasing an album that solidifies his space in the Latin salsa community. Pienso en Ti from JJ Records is Josimar’s greatest performance of his Peruvian spirit. The artist, known for ““Porque un hombre no llora” has gained attention from all ages of Latin music lovers. In fact, he is set to perform at the Billboards for Latin Music Awards as well as record with some of the greatest power players in music like La India. The 10-track release this week features title-track “Pienso en Ti” along with beat-driven numbers like “Quien Te Quiera Como Yo.” Between all of the high-energy, multi-instrumental tracks, Josimar explicates the traditional sounds of salsa with his own Perucha twist.

We’re closing out this week with the best releases just for you. So, thanks for checking in and we’ll see you next week!
