The music community celebrated one of the biggest nights in Latin music last week at the 2021 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards. The event was held live in Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena, hosted by Chiquinquirá Delgado, José Ron and Yuri, and featured epic live performances, touching tributes, and plenty more.
Wisin (WK Records) is one of the early pioneers of modern Reggaeton, and was honored with a special Award of Excellence followed by a collaborative tribute performance featuring his long time duo partner Yandel, as well as Jhay Cortez, Rauw Alejandro, Zion & Lennox, Carlos Vives, and Lunay.
Additionally, Daddy Yankee and Marc Anthony performed their newest salsa hit “De Vuelta Pa’ La Vuelta”.
Nio Garcia wrote “La Jeepeta” inside a jeep after the power went out at Garcia’s recording studio in Puerto Rico. Three months after the original release, Anuel AA, Myke Towers, and Brray & Juanka jumped on the track and released the Remix edition, which won the 2021 Premio Lo Nuestro Remix of the Year.
Natti Natasha (Pina Records) and Romeo Santos collaboration “La Mejor Versión De Mí” won Tropical Song of the Year.
