Introduction |
|
Another month, another edition of The Orchard Metal Newsletter. The summer haze is lifting around these parts, and we’ve got plenty of pummel for you this Fall with new records on the immediate horizon from Oakland deathcore demons All Shall Perish and German blacksters Eisregen. But it doesn’t stop there. Aside from tracks off the new Bloodbath, music from the tempestuous teens of Hackneyed, and a new video from Nuclear Blast's Sonic Syndicate, we've got an OMN Exclusive -- All Shall Perish's "Never Again," one of the finest tracks on the stellar Awaken The Dreamers. Our Behind The Scenes section this month comes frontloaded with a hilarious clip of Hammerfall recording their latest record, beating up cardboard boxes, and destroying a TV set. Tough stuff. And, of course, the release schedule is staying strong throughout the rest of the year, with the latest from Sonic Syndicate, a new Bloodbath album, and a compendium of Napalm awesomeness.

All Shall Perish
Awaken The Dreamers

Release Date: Sept 16

Oakland deathcore demigods All Shall Perish are set to release the highly-anticipated follow up to 2006’s metal milestone The Price of Existence on September 16th via Nuclear Blast Records. Entitled Awaken the Dreamers, the band’s third proper full-length further blurs the boundaries between technical grind, relentless death, and balls-to-the-wall metalcore. The furious twelve-track collection was once again recorded at Oakland’s Castle Ultimate with Zack Ohren (Decrepit Birth, Light This City). |

Release Date: Sept 19

In English, the word "Eisregen" translates to "Ice Rain." That's a pretty fair description of the sound this German black metal quartet has been perfecting for the past thirteen years -- freezing blastbeaten, grinding occasionaly-orchestral intensity. Just over a year after the releas of their wildly-succesful Blutbahnen, Eisregen is preparing to release their seventh studio album, Knochenkult ("bone cult"), on September 19th via Massacre Records. |
